Born in the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina, on June 20, 1965.
EDUCATION: Architect, School of Architecture and Urbanism, Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), 1990; Patent Engineer; IP Agent.
PRACTICE AREAS: Patents, Models and Industrial Designs. He focuses on the prosecution of domestic and international patent applications related to Mechanics, Electronics, and Human Necessities. He prepares new patent applications of domestic clients and those related to Models and Industrial Designs. He advises domestic and international clients on patent- and model-related issues. He performs bibliographic and thematic patent searches in Argentina and abroad issuing technical reports.
BACKGROUND: At the INPI, he worked as Patent Examiner between 1993 and 1999, and thereafter he became General Coordinator of Patent Administration between 2000 and 2002. During that period, he was Head Examiner and lectured the Patent module in the course for becoming IP Agent. He received training in courses organized by the WIPO in Geneva, Switzerland; European Patent Office (EPO) in Munich, Germany and CIPO (Canada IP Office), in Hull, Canada on 1997 and 2001. He has actively participated as lecturer in several IP conferences and seminars in several Argentine Universities and Institutions. In 2008 he participated as WIPO Consultant for the translation, adaptation, and technical review of the manual “Distance Learning Course DL 101”, currently on-line for South America.
ACADEMIC ACTIVITY: Professor of the IP Master at the Universidad Austral since 2008; Lecturer of workshops and courses in that University since 2006; Professor of the course “Technology Transfer” of the Master in Science, Technology, and Innovation Management, Univ. Nacional de Gral. Sarmiento /I.D.E.S./ Centro Redes, since 2005 in Buenos Aires, Mendoza (Universidad Nacional de Cuyo), and Montevideo, Uruguay.
